Sunday, June 11, 2006 ::: RAW POWER EMOTION I quite like the trance track in RPM programs. There's usually this trance track - and usually it's just top speed racing from start till end, without much breaks, recoveries or uphill climbs. And it's perfect time to let your anger out. No interruptions, no diversions of thoughts - you focus on one thing, and just one thing, and you race. Let your legs spin. There's no goal in sight, but that's not the point anyway. It's a little like a battle with yourself. The faster you push and pull the pedals, the more aching you get - I'd say it's a little bit like screaming your lungs out but instead of hearing your own voice, it's only your own breaths that's reaching your ears. You're drenched in your own sweat but that's totally irrelevant. And today I literally cycled my top speed from start till end. Is that a lot of anger? And guess what, the cool down track is 'Heart Like A Wheel' by the Corrs. Some say the heart is just like a wheel when you bend it you can't mend it... (I'll just spare you the really cheesy verses)* and it's only love and it's only love that can break a human being turn him inside out that can break a human being turn him inside out Perfect, that's exactly what I need at that very moment. Apparently I've never asked the question why. All along I've only asked how. But how? And do I have the right to ask why? I've been taught not to ask why. Probably not even how.
